MUG SHOT Young Jeezy arrested, allegedly attacked his son, threatened to shoot him
36-year-old rapper Jay Wayne Jenkins (better known by his stage name Young Jeezy) was arrested on Friday and charged with battery, false imprisonment, and making terroristic threats against his own son after an alleged incident in September, 2012.
According to TMZ, who obtained a copy of the incident report, “Jeezy got into a fight with his son in a bathroom and he threw his son into the glass shower door, causing the son to hit his head. Then Jeezy allegedly punched him in the face, dragged him into the bedroom, threw him on the bed and pummeled him.”
Jeezy’s son says in the report that he then tried to escape, but was blocked by his dad’s bodyguard who was blocking the stairwell.
The altercation escalated, with Jeezy’s son claiming his dad choked him and stated, “I will kill you.” Jeezy also allegedly told his son, “I will put a bullet in your head right now,” adding, “If I could get away with it, I would kill you.”
According to TMZ, Young Jeezy turned himself in on January 3 after a grand jury issued a warrant for the charges of battery, false imprisonment, and making terroristic threats against his son. Jeezy’s lawyer spoke with TMZ after the rapper bonded out for $45,000 and stated confidently, “We have no doubt this matter will resolve itself appropriately. At this moment, Mr. Jenkins is thankful for the support of his fans and the respect for his family’s privacy.”
It is still unclear which of Young Jeezy’s sons was involved in the incident. From what I could tell by researching online, Young Jeezy has two sons: Jadarius Jenkins and Shyheim Jenkins.
Jadarius Jenkins, seen in the photo above with dad Young Jeezy, would have been 16 at the time of the attack in September, 2012. Young Jeezy shared the photo in June of 2012 and captioned it, “Fathers Day wit my Lil man nothin better! #itsthaworld” (Jadarius is an aspiring rapper who goes by Lil Jeezy.)
Young Jeezy’s other son, Shyheim Jenkins, appears to have been 13 in December of 2008 when the photo below was taken, which means he also would have been a minor at the time of the alleged incident. That would explain why the police report and/or TMZ did not include the son’s name.
