AUDIO Listen to the Chris Henry 911 calls with transcriptions – MP3 and streaming

Included below is a link to both 911 calls placed in reference to the Chris Henry and Loleini Tonga auto accident that resulted in the death of the 26-year-old Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver. The first 911 call was made to police by a woman driving behind the truck driven by Loleini Tonga with Chris Henry in the back. The caller describes Henry as having black pants, shirtless with a cast on his arm. She says he is beating on the back window of the truck.

The second 911 call was placed by a man after Henry had been thrown from the vehicle. That caller told the operator “there’s a man is in the road … he looks dead … there’s no movement.”

I’m transcribing the conversation now and will post it here as soon as I am done.

OK. Here’s the transcript of the first 911 call:

Caller: I need a police officer on Oak Road. I’m riding behind a yellow truck It’s an F-150. The tag says … It’s got a black man on it with no shirt on and he’s got his arm in a cast and he’s got some black pants on. He’s beating on the back of this truck window and the truck is driving. I don’t know if he’s trying to break in it or – something just looks crazy. It’s a girl driving it. And now he’s turning onto Oakdale Road.

Operator: Off of what street?

Caller: Off of Oak Drive – going down Oakdale Road.

Operator: You said the vehicle is occupied by a black female?

Caller: That’s what it looked like that was driving it and a black male hanging on the back of it. The black male doesn’t have on a shirt.

Operator: Can you hold on?

Caller: He has cast on it looks like the left arm.

Operator: Are you still behind him?

Caller: No, I was on my way to my husband’s job.

Operator: OK. I’ll let them know ma’am.

Caller: Thank you.

Operator: Thank You. Bye.

Operator: OK, sir. Where are you at on Oakdale Road? What’s the nearest cross street or an address [inaudible]?

Caller: Um, There is a box. It says “111” I think.

Operator: Uh huh. Is there another number?

Caller: Uh, It’s 1116.

Operator: OK, just repeat the location for me please to make sure I have it right.

Caller: 1116 Oakdale Road

Operator: OK

Caller: I don’t know what happened. We just pulled up here.

Operator: Are you right by him now?

Caller: No. I am in a car maybe 200 feet from him.

Operator: OK. And do you feel comfortable going over to him?

Caller: Yeah. There’s a crowd of people around him right now.

Operator: OK. Can you find out if he’s awake or if he’s-

Caller: No he’s definitely unconscious. He is not awake.

Operator: OK. How old is he?

Caller: He looks like the mid-20s. Black male.

Operator: OK. I can give you some instructions so that we can try to help him out but you’d have to be right with the patient.

Caller: There’s somebody taking his pulse and stuff right now.

Operator: OK. Is he breathing?
