Melissa Rycroft suffers head injury during DWTS rehearsal, taken to the hospital
Former The Bachelor winner and Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Melissa Rycroft was taken to a Los Angeles hospital Sunday afternoon after injuring her head and neck while rehearsing for Monday night’s episode of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars.
“Melissa was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where she is currently being examined,” Rycroft’s rep says in a statement. “She was accompanied to the hospital by her husband, Tye Strickland, and her dance partner, Tony Dovolani. Everyone is taking all necessary precautions at this time.”
Just yesterday Melissa, 29, tweeted about the difficult week preparing for tomorrow night’s episode, writing “Been a long (and tough week) of Tango…but back to attack again today. Sometimes nothing motivates you like frustration…!”
Rycroft is currently one of eight celebrities remaining on the popular reality competition, and was scheduled to perform twice tomorrow night, including an individual routine and a team freestyle routine. There is no word if she will be able to compete or not.
