Amy Winehouse is BACK! It has been widely reported that the train wreck soul singer from Camden has been back in the studio recording new material and the first fruit of those labors has surfaced in the form of a tribute song to legendary producer Quincy Jones!
Amy covers Lesley Gore’s classic “It’s My Party” 47 years after Quincy Jones produced the song and made a smash hit out of it in 1963. The single appears on the brand new Quincy Jones tribute titled Q: Soul Bossa Nostra and set to be released November 9.

Sadly, I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. Amy seems to be forcing her up and down vocals a bit. I dunno, maybe it will grow on me just like she did the first time around. (It can’t help that I’m a big Lesley Gore fan and love the original!) What do you think?
