Lindsay Lohan sentenced to 90 days in jail, paints f-u on nail
Through tears and shock Lindsay Lohan found out that she will be returning to jail.
Judge Marsha Revel declared the 24-year-old down-spiraling actress in violation of probation from her 2007 DUI conviction for failing to attend court-ordered alcohol education classes. Revel sentenced Lohan to 90 days in jail to be followed by 90 days of in-patient rehab.
After hearing Revel’s ruling, Lohan broke down sobbing, letting out a barely audible “yes” when Revel asked if she understood and accepted the terms of her probation. Lohan is required to surrender on July 20th.
Here is the video of the courtroom drama. You can tell that Lindsay is noticeably surprised and upset with the court’s decision:
Steve Whitmore, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department, stated that Lohan will serve her time at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California and will be separated from the general jail population.
It is probable that Lohan will only end up serving a few weeks of her 90 day jail sentence. Whitmore noted that “female, non-violent prisoners will do about 25-percent of their sentence” due to “an overcrowding situation” in LA jails.
Not one to shy away from generating a circus enviroment, Lindsay provided everyone a little extra to discuss when it was discovered that she had painted a vulgar message on one of her fingernails. It is painfully ironinc in that she did this genuinely believing that nothing would come of her court date. Here is the image of that nail close up:
That image is a damaging blow for the very few people left remaining in Lindsay Lohan’s corner.
