Amanda Bynes had a court date yesterday stemming from her DUI arrest from back in April, 2012. According to her attorney, she is mentally unfit to stand trial.
Attorney Rich Hutton told the presiding judge that Bynes didn’t have the mental capacity to understand the nature of the legal proceedings she was being asked to undertake.
The judge apparently found some relevance in this argument as the matter was transferred to a separate mental health court. The judge in that court is now set to have a hearing to determine Amanda’s mental capacity, according to TMZ.
Bynes is still in the process of receiving long-term treatment after being placed under a conservatorship.
