Car seats are annoying. I know this to be true as a working dad and while I may not always get the straps perfect I always make sure my little one is in her car seat. A while back Britney Spears caught absolute hell for driving around without her kid being fastened in and now it looks like it’s Kelsey Grammer and Kayte Walsh’s turn to feel the heat.
TMZ was out prowling around Los Angeles with their camera dudes and caught a scene of Kelsey and Kayte leaving LAX with their 4-month-old baby girl Faith Evangeline Elisa. Surprisingly, the couple didn’t appear to be rushed as they took their time loading up.
The footage comes not long after Kelsey received a ton of criticism for taking little Faith Evangeline to a party at the Playboy Mansion. He defended his decision on that move this way:
“Kayte is breast-feeding and we do not have a nanny or a trusted babysitter at this time, so Faith goes everywhere with us. We enjoyed the party with a few of our friends, the baby slept as her ears were covered the entire time and we left shortly after midnight.”
Kelsey’s spokesperson insisted that there was a baby seat in the car but nothing from the footage definitively backs that claim. At one point the camera zooms in while the Cadillac Escalade is in motion and the baby is sitting in the center beside her mommy. It’s hard to tell but it appears as if she wasn’t in a car seat as mandated by California law.
I couldn’t tell from a quick search if the Escalade has a built in child seat in the center of the rear seating.
