Mariah Carey and her holiday pillows certainly made things festive during the annual lighting of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center in New York City last night.
The curvaceous 42-year-old diva sported two separate ensembles as she sung her unstoppable holiday smash hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” One was a low-cut red satin-embellished dress with silver peeptoe platforms and long red gloves. The 42-year-old looked fabulous as the crowd on hand enjoyed the moment during her taped segments for a special to be aired on NBC tonight.
“All I Want” was released 14 years 18 years (thanks reader Amy for setting me straight) ago (where does the time go) and has went on to sell well over 12 million copies making it one of the most popular singles in recorded music history. It’s certainly the defining Christmas anthem of the last decade – next time you’re out shopping or listening to the holiday tunes on the radio just give it about 30 minutes and you’re sure to hear this one.
The other outfit Carey donned while she also performed the traditional “O Holy Night,” was yet another revealing number with fur shoulder accents and beads.
