Kelly Osbourne and her fiancé Matthew Mosshart have split up, according to a rather snippy statement released today by Osbourne’s rep. “The split is amicable and the pair continue to have nothing but the utmost respect for one another,” says the rep, before adding, “Kelly is looking forward to a new year full of fresh beginnings. No further comments will be provided by all parties and we request privacy, decorum and space from the press but don’t expect it.”
Oh snap! No worries from this “press” member — I don’t really have an option to not grant all parties privacy and/or space, and I will be more than happy to provide them with decorum. (Which essentially means I won’t be making a Mosshartbroken joke.)
Osbourne and Mosshart, a vegan chef, met at Kate Moss’s wedding in the summer of 2011 and made their relationship public in December of that year. Mosshart proposed last summer while the two were vacationing in Anguilla.
So far, as the statement indicated, Kelly Osborne hasn’t provided further comments on Twitter, though she did seem to foreshadow the announcement with this tweet earlier today:
