Kathyrn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel are expecting baby #2
Yes, you read that right! Southern Charm stars Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel are expecting their second child together!
“I was surprised,” Kathryn admitted to People. “Thomas and I are always on and off, but we had a whirlwind romance that weekend. That’s kind of how we were with the first pregnancy, too. Things were wishy-washy, but we embraced it.”
The couple, who began dating during season one of the show, have had a volatile relationship. After the inaugural season ended, their casual hook-ups resulted in an unexpected pregnancy.
The couple tried to make their relationship work, and even moved in together, but ultimately ended up going their separate ways. Thomas was left to pick up the pieces after a failed Senate race and Kathryn began adjusting to life as a single parent.
Viewers saw the demise of their relationship play out during season two of Southern Charm. By the time the reunion show rolled around, tensions between the couple were at an all-time high. They couldn’t seem to agree on anything–except their physical attraction to each other.
Kathryn admitted that she and Thomas were continuing to hook up up even though they were no longer a couple and could barely stand being in the same room together.
Months later, Kathryn, 24, and Thomas, 53, announced they are expecting a second child together–a son.
Does this mean the couple is back together? Not exactly. “We are friends,” they said, in the announcement. “We communicate and things are pleasant. That’s all [we] can really hope for.”
