Aspiring singer Tobias Strebel, who appeared on reality shows Botched and My Strange Addiction after allegedly spending more than $100,000 on plastic surgeries to look more like Justin Bieber, was reportedly found dead in a hotel room on Friday.
According to a report, “Toby’s body was found in a Motel 6 in the San Fernando Valley on August 21.” Law enforcement told the motel’s owners that drugs were found in the hotel room, but his cause of death is still not known.
Tobias, who also goes by the name Toby Sheldon, was first reported missing to authorities on August 18, and police believe his disappearance may be connected to a recent break up with his partner. Sheldon’s disappearance made national headlines after Los Angeles’ ABC 7 first reported it on Sunday. Other news sites, as well as friends and business associates, shared the story in hopes of locating the 35-year-old…but police had located his body two days earlier.
RumorFix spoke with a friend of Tobias’ on Monday. The friend revealed that he and other friends were “very concerned” about Tobias, adding at the time that “he’s been acting stranger than normal.” The friend went on to say that the usually image-conscious Tobias’ appearance had “drastically declined” recently.
