Are Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard feuding? Speculation grows, despite double date picture

Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald

Stories about Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard’s supposed feud have been floating around for the past week or so. I was hesitant to cover the rumors because, between Anna Duggar’s pregnancy announcement and the gossip about Jana Duggar and Tim Tebow, other stories in the Duggar pool were a bit weightier. But, here we are a week or so later and the feud stories are still sticking around…

Whispers about Jill and Jessa’s sisterly spat began when Radar Online noted Jill doesn’t follow Jessa or Ben Seewald on Twitter. Jill’s husband, Derick Dillard, does follow Jessa and Ben — but they don’t follow him. Craziness, I tell you.

The girls seemed to combat the rumors not by actually following each other on Twitter, but by having a double-date dinner on Monday.

Despite what I assume was their effort to stop the rumors, an insider pushed on with new “details” of the fight in this week’s edition of Star.

“This has been brewing, and now that the girls and their marriages have become a bigger focus of the show, the problems are escalating,” a source said of the girls, who got married within a few months of each other. “Jessa resents that Jill is her parents’ favorite, and she’s pulling away from the family.”

The insider added Jill doesn’t approve of her younger sister’s choices, including where Jessa decided to marry Ben in November. The source explained, “Jessa is able to live for herself now, without the crazy rules — and she is learning who she wants to be — but Jill stayed pretty much the same when she left home.”

New episodes of 19 Kids and Counting start in February, but it’s doubtful we’ll hear mention of the “feud” on the show. Then again, with 19 kids, the show would be impossible to keep up with if every argument between siblings became a big topic.
