During an interview with a radio station earlier this week, Demi Lovato revealed she recently found out she has an older half-sister.
“I actually have a third sister that I didn’t even know about until this year. She’s in her thirties,” Lovato told WBLI, a Long Island radio station.
The X Factor judge said her newly discovered sibling knew about the connection for a while, but didn’t want Lovato to think she was trying to take advantage of her fame.
“I asked her ‘Why haven’t you ever contacted me?’ and she said ‘I never wanted you to think that I ever wanted anything from you, so I’ve just kind of been waiting to see if you wanted a relationship.’ I thought that was so incredible!”
Lovato also has one sister and one other half-sister from her mom’s second marriage.
The former Disney star typically doesn’t shy away from speaking her mind in interviews, but this was still a big revelation. This also sounds like a much happier reunion than the one where the woman fell in love with her secret brother!
