Chris Brown enters rehab for anger management
Just days after he was charged with misdemeanor assault, Chris Brown has checked into a residential anger management program.
“Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility,” his rep says in a statement. “His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point.”
TMZ reports Chris was dropped off at the Los Angeles-area facility on Tuesday evening by his attorney, Mark Geragos. Sources say Chris flew back to California from Washington D.C. where he was jailed after an altercation with a fan.
Although this sounds like a step in the right direction for Chris, sources say he may have ulterior motives: The L.A. County probation department is reportedly investigating whether Chris violated his probation, which is still in effect from when he attacked Rihanna. If authorities deem Chris violated his probation, he could face four years in prison.
But, if Chris demonstrates good faith and contrition, he could get off the hook.
