TLC’s My 600-lb life was back tonight with 43-year-old Zsalynn Whitmore who was fighting for her life while tipping the scales at almost 600. Her biggest hurtle to weight loss was herself and her cravings for sugar, but her snarky, large-lady-loving husband turned out to be her second biggest obstacle.
Tomorrow night, TLC’s My 600-lb Life will introduce us all to the amazing story of Donald Shelton from Pasadena, Texas. The network has followed four different people for 7-years through their journey of gastric bypass surgery and the trials and tribulations that follow. Melissa Morris, the subject of a special 2 hour premiere episode of TLC’s new show My 600-lb Life, was filmed by the network over the last seven years as she struggled to lose over 500 pounds. Formerly tipping the scales at 673 pounds, she now triumphantly weighs in at 170. Now that she weighs a fourth of what she once weighed, she’s struggling to redefine her relationship with her husband Chris, who married her when she was heavy, and to see herself as she looks today, not as she was when she was over 600 pounds and immobile.
