Actor Bryshere Gray, who played Hakeem Lyon on the popular Fox series Empire, was arrested in Arizona earlier today after a standoff with police and SWAT that lasted more than 8 hours. Bryshere’s wife called 911 from a convenience store last night after flagging down a woman and getting a ride. She told police that Bryshere assaulted her for several hours earlier that day, including allegedly strangling her and causing her to lose consciousness temporarily. The standoff occurred at the couple’s home after Bryshere barricaded himself inside and refused to exit.
