After last year’s performance broke the Internet and dominated the entire media reporting cycle for months, everyone was looking to see what stunt she’s pull this year, but she took her low-key approach even farther. When she won the coveted Music Video of The Year Award for her controversial “Wrecking Ball” video, she stood up and started clapping, but didn’t move to the stage. Instead, a young man named Jesse accepted the award for her on behalf of the homeless youth of the United States.

George R. R. Martin loves wolves so much he’s auctioning off amazing prizes to raise money for them

It wasn’t by chance that George R. R. Martin made wolves into mystical, wise beings with special spiritual powers in his Game of Thrones books; he has a genuine soft spot for the animals. He loves them so much that he set up a wildly popular fundraiser to help out the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary and the Food Depot in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which is near where he and his wife Parris live. The grand prizes, which have already been snapped up, was the opportunity to get killed off in upcoming Game of Thrones book, but there is so much more available.
