Justin Bieber arrested on DUI and drag racing charges
Justin Bieber was arrested in Miami Beach on early Thursday morning on DUI, drag racing and resisting arrest charges, a police spokesman said. The “Baby” singer is currently at the Miami Beach Police Department. He will be transported to the TGK jail in West Dade for processing. That’s when a mug shot will be taken and bail will be set.
According to the Miami Herald, Justin’s entourage used cars to block off a section of residential roads at 4:30 a.m. Driving a rented yellow Lamborghini, Justin used the zoned off area as a drag racing strip. Police were alerted by squealing tires.
“When the cars are going that fast, it takes a while to catch up,” said Miami Beach Police Chief Raymond Martinez.
When police arrived on the scene, officers report the 19-year-old was incoherent and resisted arrest (by refusing to take his hands out of his pockets, not by getting violent). Justin only had an expired Georgia license. Justin “failed miserably” at a roadside sobriety test, but “did not blow any significant amount on an alcohol breathalyzer test.” A subsequent test showed he was under the influence of drugs.
A video of Justin getting pulled over was shared by an Instagram user…
Police sources told the Miami Herald that Justin “cussed out cops, admitted to beer, smoking marijuana, was on antidepressants.”

TMZ reported Justin’s drag racing opponent, rapper Khalil Sharieff, was also arrested on DUI and drag racing charges. Hours before the arrest, he captioned a photo of his Lamborghini “Miami nights ridin thru yo city in that hot wheel.”
Before their run-ins, Khalil and Justin spent the week in Miami playing basketball, skateboarding and getting the munchies…

UPDATE The official police report, which was obtained by TMZ, says Justin was driving 55-60 MPH in a 30 MPH zone. Justin was resistant to police from the beginning. He yelled, “Why the f**k are you doing this? … What the f**k did I do. Why did you stop me?”
Justin initially claimed he was coming back from recording music. Photographers and other sources from the night actually placed him at a nightclub called SET.
When the officer tried to perform a routine pat-down, Justin said, “I ain’t got no f**king weapons, why do you have to search me? What the f**k is this about?”
UPDATE #2 Justin’s bond was just set at $2,500 — $1,000 for “resisting officer without violence,” $1,000 for driving under the influence and $500 for driving with an expired license. No mug shot yet.
