Edwin Valero, a lightweight Venezuelan boxing champion, with was found dead in his jail cell this morning (Monday, April 19), hanging from his own clothes.
Sunday (April 18) 28-year-old Edwin Valero was arrested and held in Caracas, Venezuela after his wife was found stabbed three times in a Valencia hotel room.
He checked into the hotel with Jennifer Viera late Saturday night. Around 5 a.m. he reportedly left his room and told the hotel security staff that he had murdered his wife.
He was found early Monday by his cell mate and still showed signs of life when he was taken down, but passed away at 1:30 a.m.
