The 405 is on the line and ready to blast a run straight back to the top of Discovery’s wildly popular Motor Mondays with tonight’s season premiere!

Just like Kye Kelley from Street Outlaws: New Orleans, Justin “Big Chief” Shearer was kind enough to sit down for a Facebook Q and A ahead of tonight’s return episode.

Here are some of the highlights:

– Chief emphasized that this season the OG Street Outlaws crew is setting out to prove that the list from the 405 is unquestionably the best in the country.

– When he was asked if Daddy Dave was faster, he said, “Hell no. I’d have to quit. I feel like anybody that Daddy Dave beats this year ought to quit.”

– Justin said that he did have some apprehensions about getting behind the wheel to race again after his highly publicized crash.

– He said that the crew will be seen racing the folks from Detroit during the season and that the clip frequently aired–of him appearing to get sideways–is from that run. This showdown was picked by viewers as part of Voice Your Choice. He gave props to the Detroit racers, including Brian Davis, saying it was some of the best street racing you’ll see this season.

– Chief said that when they get beat it’s often by people who’ve been waiting and prepping for months to run the 405. He made sure folks knew that they’re out there just about every Saturday night doing what they do.

– Justin took viewers outside to show off his righteous daily driver. He popped up the green Caddie on hydraulics, cracking up the whole time. He said folks accuse him of having the car provided for him by Discovery. He made it clear this wasn’t the case.

– The most money he’s ever raced for… $7,500. He explained that a lot of times the cash gets pooled and the pot can easily get over $10,000 when a lot of folks are putting in scratch.

– On racing Tuff Enuff: Chief said he’s done everything he can to race the guy, going as far as to beg him. For whatever reason, Tuff Enuff just won’t follow through and hit the strip. If it happened on the show, Chief feels like it should be Dave to get a shot at the run, because he lost to him before. If that Dave / Tuff Enuff battle happened, afterwords Chief said he’d be glad to skull f*** Tuff Enuff 5-6 times.

The new season of Street Outlaws premieres tonight at 9/8c.
