Bethenny Frankel confirms return to Real Housewives of New York City — see who else will join her!
Bethenny Frankel is going back to her roots! Four years after leaving Real Housewives of New York City for her own spinoff and talk show, Bethenny is officially rejoining the show that made her famous.
“I’m never a Housewife when I’m a housewife,” she told Us Weekly, referencing how she first left the show when she was getting married to Jason Hoppy. They’ve since divorced after a long and dirty legal battle.
Even though she technically has the same relationship status as four years ago, much else in Bethenny’s life has changed.
“I’m such a different person and in such a different place than when I was on first season,” she said. “When I went onto Housewives when I was younger, I didn’t have family, I didn’t have a business, I didn’t have partners.”

After complaining her voice was stifled on her failed talk show, Bethenny said she’s excited to have the “freedom to be unfiltered, honest and inappropriate, with an audience who has been with me from the beginning.” Andy Cohen said he’s also happy Bethenny’s returning to Real Housewives of New York City, which has floundered in terms of ratings since her departure.
Sources confirmed to E! News, which is owned by the same parent company as Bravo, that Bethenny will be joined by Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson, Kristen Taekman, LuAnn de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer. Only LuAnn and Ramona were on the show when Bethenny left.
