BEFORE THE 90 DAYS Patrick and Cortney apply to be CEO of Cancun

Patrick and Cortney from Before the 90 Days apply for CEO of Cancun

Before the 90 Days co-stars Cortney Reardanz and Patrick Cornett both had relationships that didn’t work out on the show, and it seems the two have bonded over their loss as they have combined forces in an attempt to get the “job” of CEO of Cancun, Mexico!

“CEO” stands for “Cancun Experience Officer” and the position is being offered by Cancun.com. According to the site’s press release, the winner of their search will receive $60,000 over six months in addition to having all of their housing costs covered during that time — in Cancun of course. They appear to be looking for a single person, so I assume Cortney and Patrick will be willing to split the money and share a bed? Or perhaps a loft bed and a small sofa? 😉 And if we are going to consider them one person, then I feel I should refer to them as Cortrick for the rest of this post…

Applicants are required to submit a one-minute video “describing why they would make the best CEO, and how they would highlight the offerings of Cancun.” Cortrick put theirs together and recently posted it on Cancun.com:

Of course, Patrick managed to squeeze in two back flips and a handstand!

Here is what the duo (actually just Cortney it seems) wrote in response to the question “Why do you travel?”

Growing up I traveled the US in an RV. After I got my degree in finance I moved to Orlando from Illinois. I worked in several departments for Disney, including a travel agent for the cruise line. I am excellent at customer service, hospitality, sales, safety, show, and efficiency. Patrick traveled the US touring as a DJ. He is enthusiastic, energetic, and entertaining. He knows how to get a crowd excited. He is very outgoing and great at communicating. We are both friendly and have a strong work ethic. This would be an amazing experience.

Judging from the press release (included in its entirety below), the selection process looks to be rather long and drawn out. “The top 100 applicants will be contacted in December with their next mission, and then the top 50 applicants will be announced on January 4, 2018,” the release states. “The top five finalists will be announced on January 17, and will travel to Cancun for the final selection process. The winner will be chosen and announced on January 31.” I assume the travel expenses for the finalists will be paid for, but it does not explicitly state that in the release.

If you’re curious why the contest is for the “job” of CEO, that’s because the winner will be working. “The CEO will be responsible for generating videos, social media content and blog posts for Cancun.com and its social channels through first-hand experience of Cancun and its attractions.”

Cortrick follow in the footsteps of Before the 90 Days co-star Larry Passariello with trying to parlay their reality show stardom into a travel job. Larry announced last week that he has put in his two weeks notice at McDonalds as he plans to fix up and RV and tour around with Jenny making YouTube videos.

It doesn’t appear that the CEO of Cancun search is one where you vote or anything, so there’s no need to do anything to help them. That being said, I assume that if their YouTube video gets a ton of views that it couldn’t hurt their chances. (It’s sitting at 55 views right now.)
