AUDIO Kim Zolciak’s unedited “The Ring Didn’t Mean a Thing” vocal track surfaces
It’s been a little less than four weeks since The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Kandi Burruss filed suit against her former cast mate Kim Zolciak claiming she was not properly compensated for her contribution to “Don’t Be Tard For The Party.” Another of Kandi’s cast mates, Phaedra Parks, is reportedly representing her in the case and it appears that some of Phaedra’s words of legal wisdom to Kandi may have been, “Everybody knows that the second most important court in any case is the court of public opinion” because an audio track of Kim Zolciak’s unedited vocals for the song “The Ring Doesn’t Mean A Thing” have just “popped up” online, and after listening to it I can’t imagine anyone wouldn’t agree that Kandi is entitled to AT LEAST half of the money from “Don’t Be Tardy For The Party” for her miraculous sonic alchemy transforming lead into gold!
Normally I only preface images with a bit of nudity or perhaps audio recordings with profanity in this manner, but I’m going to say that I would consider this clip to be not safe for work.
Whoah-oah-oah-ooooooo!
Actually, I think a lot of the credit (and the $$$) should actually be going to Selasi and Blue, the sound engineers — at least on the studio version of “The Ring Didn’t Mean A Thing,” which was never actually released. Here’s a clip from Bravo in which Kim and Kandi listen to the finished version, albeit with Kandi singing background vocals — much to her dismay.
And just so that this is officially the most complete blog post about “The Ring Didn’t Mean A Thing” in human history, click here for an unembeddable clip of Kim and Kandi working on the song in the studio from the RHOA episode, and here is a finished version of the track put together by John Tierney:
If you’re amazed by what Kandi Burruss was able to do with Kim Zolciak, then you might want to tune in to The Kandi Factory to see what she can do with some actual raw talent! The show premieres April 9 at 10/9c on Bravo!
