The world was supposed to find out which lucky model would be gracing the cover of the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue during tonight’s episode of The Late Show With David Letterman, but thanks to a careless mistake by a magazine distributor in Michigan, a cell phone camera, and the power of the internet, the cat Kate is out of the bag!

According to reports, a few issues were put out early at a Michigan gas station where @willdefries snapped a photo and shared it on Twitter earlier today. The internet took it from there and now tonight’s unveiling ceremonies in New York City are pretty much an afterthought.
@willdefries’ initial tweet accompanying the photo read, “Wait, @stoolpresidente, did I just leak the SI Cover?” He later tweeted an apology to Kate: “Sorry, @KateUpton, my bad.”
Want to see more of Kate Upton? Well, not more in the sense of her wearing less (that would pretty much require nudity), but more in the form of… the nunkini! I won’t say any more than that – you’ll just have to click on the link.
(As a celebrity blogger I’m disappointed by the selection because I have enough difficulty keeping my blond Kates straight in my head as it is!)
