Kelly Bensimon is looking for love on the fourth season of Real Housewives of New York, and she mentions her previous marriage to an older man. So who is Kelly’s ex-husband?
Kelly was married for ten years (1997-2007) to esteemed celebrity and fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon. She was his third wife (he had one child with wife #1 Pascha, and was married for five years to his second wife, supermodel Elle McPherson.) Kelly (now 42) and Gilles (now 67) have two children, Sea Louise Bensimon (1998) and Thaddeus Ann “Teddy” Bensimon (2000). They recently reunited for Gilles to shoot Kelly’s 2010 pictorial spread in Playboy.
Gilles was International Creative Director and Head Photographer of ELLE magazine for a while, and has a mind-numbing list of clients; from Saks Fifth Avenue to Kohl’s. For a while he was the International Creative Director and Head Photographer of ELLE. He became the director of American ELLE in 1999.
