Mob Wives star Ramona Rizzo is currently planning her dream wedding to fiance and Gambino family soldier Joseph “Joe Boy” Sclafani. The special event will take place at Butch Yamali’s lavish Coral House on Long Island this coming June with 500 people will be in attendance. But unfortunately, Joseph will not be one of them.

Joseph Sclafani (mug shot above) is currently behind bars at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center after being arrested last year on federal charges that he and another party ran three marijuana grow houses as well as a cocaine distribution ring on Staten Island.

“We’ve known each other since we were kids,” Ramona recently revealed to Page Six. “It’s not the normal love story because he’s incarcerated. But if you’re in love, you can make it work.”

And make it work she will. Ramona plans to “pass around the phone” during their big day so that Joseph can chat with each one of their guests which will reportedly include Ramona’s co-stars Karen Gravano and Renee Graziano.

“He didn’t want to begrudge me a wedding,” Ramona says of her soon-to-be husband. “He said, ‘Even if I can’t be there, have a party. I’ll be there in spirit.'”

And while the wedding is unconventional (to say the least), Ramona isn’t letting the minor detail of her husband’s absence get her down. In fact, she thinks it may be a good thing. “People should find their own way of love,” she explains. “Maybe the key to a happy marriage is not having a husband in your face all the time.”

According to Staten Island Live, Joseph previously served 33 months in federal prison for harboring a fugitive mobster in 1989, and once he was released, his criminal career continued. Joseph caught charges in 1999 and 2000 for bank fraud, drug trafficking and racketeering that resulted in him spending several more years in the big house. In 2009, Joseph was found with 15 cell phones and more than $100,000 cash which put him back in prison for one more year on a probation violation.
