Teen Mom 2 finale reunion drama: Did Jo Rivera give Kail Lowry an STD?

The Teen Mom 2 Reunion Finale Special Part One, which was filmed July 2011, aired last night, and we did get a few shockers despite the fact that these ladies have been living a lot of their lives in the headlines.

The first shocker is that Jenelle Evans’ mom Barbara Evans is no longer with Mike because he ran off with a Hooter’s waitress! Barbara said this while laughing, so it was hard to make out on the first try, but that’s definitely what she said. Sad to hear that happened, Mike seemed like an okay guy.

Second shocker: Kailyn Lowry and Jordan Wenner got tested and treated for an STD, which she seemed to imply she was scared she had because Jo refused to wear a condom one of the two times they had sex recently (one of the times was when she cheated on Jordan, the other time she was not with Jordan.)

Kailyn shared: “That one time lead me to go get tested for STDs. And then it turned out Jordan had to go get tested and that leaves one person to have let an STD spread.”

It wasn’t really made clear if ANYONE had actually tested positive for an STD, (you get treated with antibiotics even if you test negative, just to be safe) but it was very confusing. In fact, at one point, Dr. Drew blurted out “Chlamydia can be very confusing,” which just made things more confusing. (Maybe there was more to this filmed that got left on the cutting room floor?)

On Twitter and Facebook Kail said that neither she nor Jordan tested positive for any STD, but that they had to undergo treatment anyway. She says she got tested because “she was with someone who did.”

“I was treated for having one because I was with someone who did. If you go to the doctor and say that someone you’ve been with has an std (depending on which it is) they’ll test you & treat you for it even if it comes out negative.”

Last night Jo tweeted this when someone asked if he got tested: “Yes. Clean. Cant say the same for some other ppl . . .”

Despite all the personal drama (and really, whether it is any of our business who does or doesn’t have an STD,) there are some lessons here. #1 Always wear a condom! #2 Get tested if you have the slightest indication that someone you were with might have an STD, or if you EVER have unprotected sex. Dr. Drew is right about Chlamydia being confusing (whether or not that was what everyone was getting tested for) because 25% of men and 30% of women can have the disease with no symptoms.

So, we do know that Kail and Jordan have a clean bill of health, word’s still out if Jo got tested.

On a more positive note, Kail’s Facebook also announced that her new website should be up and running soon.

In my opinion, Kail is a terrible person. I will not be watching anymore Teen Mom 2 episodes just because of her. I feel so bad for Jordan. I hope he finds or has found someone who deserves him.

well probably it was chlamydia. over 90% of all people have the causative organism and it can break out if you have sex with someone who already has it (and it broke out), if you have sex with someone and your body’s are kind of like not compatible or if you get sick. That’s why chlamydia can be VERY confusing, and it can also break relationships up even if nobody cheated.

I think it was rather brave of Kailyn to even discuss the possibility of having an STD on camera. So many others would have never brought it up or would have just been so ignorant about it all like Chelsea who’d probably just giggle and say but Adddduuuummmm haaaad un STDeeeeeeee. Kailyn has her faults but so do the rest of them. I’m not a huge fan of hers and she has some growing to do but we see what six hours out of six months worth of filming? And the reunion was almost eight months ago? Way to have continuity there MTV.

  Because Kailyn’s mom is a jerk, Kailyn has nowhere to go when she gets pregnant. She moves in with Jo and his family, who feed her, take care of her, put a roof over her head. But because Kailyn’s all about Kailyn, she decides to start seeing someone else without bothering to tell Jo about it, and while his family is taking care of her. She then cheats on the new guy to sleep with Jo, and when the new guy complains, she tells him that ‘he’s not being understanding.’ Finally, on the season wrap up, she tells Dr. Drew that she wants to be with Jo (thereby crushing the guy she already cheated on) UNTIL Jo says he doesn’t want to be with her. Then, she’ll all about the other guy, who ALSO (rightly) says he now doesn’t want to be with her. And then, just to be tacky, she brings up the whole STD thing as a way of trying to humiliate Jo on TV.
  
  And you ask, why the hate? I’ll tell you why. Because Kailyn is a selfish, self-centered, lying, cheating jerk. That’s why.

    DO YOU GUYS FORGET THEY ARE ONLY TEENS? THEY F**K UP! Being a teen is hard enough imagine with a child and a partner plus trying to grow up. 50yrs old men/woman cheat. she only brought it up because jo claimed he always uses a condom, but kail called him out on that and then the whole std discussion came up.

their whole drama last night was a mess. i know that’s all about a year old, but they seemed more childish than before. i felt bad for jordan. kail only wanted to try to work things out with him because jo said he had no interest in being with her.

I thought it was rather tacky of her to even bring up the subject of STDs on TV. Whether Jo had it to begin with, or she did, that’s personal. So much for her acting like an adult with her child’s father. I think she’s bitter becuz Jo doesn’t want her back, and also Jordan wants nothing to do with her. She wanted to humiliate the both of them becuz she’s hurting.

  I agree with you that was the feeling I was getting to I felt like it was not Kailyn trying to make young people aware of std’s and getting tested. But it was Kailyn way of embrassing Jordan and Jo because they both didn’t want to date her anymore it was clear as day that Kailyn was really bitter towards both of the guys. I just don’t understand her bitterness towards Jordan she hurt him and Kailyn was all for dumping Jordan and getting back with Jo and when Jo told no. That’s when she had this ah moment she will just get back together with Jordan it was like Jordan was her second choice. I don’t blame Jordan for not wanting to get back with her no one wants to be someone else second choice.

  It was not tacky at all to discuss it on the show. STI’s are a major issue with teens and since quite a few teens watch this show I think it was the perfect platform to discuss this issue. As far as her wanting to hurt them, I disagree. She stated something that most people keep quiet about which is why STIs are so prevelant. Great job Kail.

Funny how Kailyn wasn’t singing that STD tune before Jo said no to an relationship with her. After Jo let it be known he didn’t want to be with her she had to let loose “yeah Jo doesn’t like condoms he might have an STD.” Good one Kail, way to put a nail on the relationship coffin.

I hated how Kailyn was trying so hard to play the victim. She constantly kept shifting the blame to everyone but herself. All the excuses are lame. I was so glad Jordan had a back and stood up for himself when Kail tried to say she wanted to be back with him. That was only after Jo said he didn’t want her. The STD conversation could have been handled differently. It was confusing for the viewers and I think the lesson was missed. It is not discussed often enough on the show how not only is unprotected sex a pregnancy risk, but it is also an STD risk.

They are both idiots…having unprotected sex after you’ve already gotten pregnant by mistake? Yes Kailyn has the mirena in, but no birth control is 100% effective….birth control and condoms are the most effective and safest.

Kail is lying. She got an STD. How would she be saying “There’s only one person with an STD to be spread” if she hadn’t got something? She wouldn’t have known that there was anything to be spread if she hadn’t gotten anything. This stuff doesn’t make sense. I’ve been tested for STDs and I didn’t get any antibiotics after I tested negative. Why would they need to do that? If she hadn’t gotten one then the talk wouldn’t have happened. Dr. Drew slipped up by specifying that chlamydia was confusing. That’s probably what she got. She should just be glad she got something she could cure and learn from.

This season was VERY discouraging. NONE of the girls made progress in their lives. In fact, they all took a major step backwards. Chelsea got back into her messed up quasi relationship with Adam. Jenelle relapsed. Leah admitted to cheating AGAIN with the same guy she cheated on Corey with before. And now Kail’s revelation that she continued some kind of weird hook up affair with Jo, keeping Jordan on the back burner the whole time?!

Wow. You know, with the first batch of Teen Mom girls we at least saw SOME progress being made. This season just… gives young mothers a bad name.

  If you weren’t so ignorant you would realize that us Americans do not utilize the correct usage of the English Language at all!!!!! If you want to hear people speaking our language correctly go to an etiquette school in the UK. I do not believe that you have no use of slang in your vocab- just saying.

    Kush Gotti has a healthy grasp of the English language… NOT. British English is by far riddled with more slang than American English. Try googling Cockney, Estuary English, Welsh, etc., as well as a multitude of dialects accompanied by their own slang terms. American English is a cake walk in comparison… our only setback is the rampant degradation of speech that is Ebonics.

I agree, the message was lost. The std/sti BLAMING had no place on camera. If she brought it up to stress the importance of using condoms, fine. But she really just seemed to want to make Jo look bad after she threw herself at him and he turned her down….again. As a viewer, that’s what I got from that conversation.
I don’t think she’s a good person- she’s spiteful, entitled and a user.

Talking about STDs is not classless. It’s real and I wish more people on film would talk about them. Society puts such a bad stigma on STDs but they are so real and because someone gets one does not mean they are dirty, or a s**t or white trash. It happens.

If she knew that he had a STD, why did she SLEEP with him AGAIN?? She knew he had a STD(if that is true) and she cheated on Jordan with Jo(the person who supposedly gave her the STD!) That doesn’t make sense. I know these are teen moms and not every relationship is perfect, but I had my oldest son at the age of 17 (I am 29 now) and I am still married to my son’s father and we have always got along good. It seems as if a lot of these teens want drama or they don’t want to hold a relationship. I was a teen mom, I graduated high school and college and I am now a registered nurse. It was hard leaving my son while I went to school, but I did it for his future. Not all young moms are like that. lol

Did any of you bashing Kail ever stop and think that MTV might have asked her to bring up the STD situation? Seeing how the show is all about raising awareness. If you haven’t realized she is the only teen mom to sit down and actually have a conversation with the guy she is dating about practicing safe sex, and being tested for stds. People need to stop judging what they don’t know, if these girls bother you so much don’t waste your “precious” time watching the show or reading the articles just so you can stir up drama leaving hateful comments. Jealousy is a horrible trait and most of you have it written all over yourselves with the comments you leave on here…
