Rumors have been swirling for weeks that Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer is pregnant again with her new boyfriend Jeremy Calvert, but the reality star and her family have adamantly denied the reports. Until now!
The cover story for this week’s issue of Reality Weekly (a brand new publication by the company that publishes Star and Radar Online) boldly proclaims “Leah’s pregnant with my baby” and features an interview with Jeremy Calvert confirming the reports. (Leah did not know she was pregnant when the rumors first started circulating in December.)
Here’s the only photo of the Reality Weekly magazine cover with the Leah Messer pregnancy story I could find:
“Yes, Leah is having my baby!” Jeremy tells the magazine. “I was at work when Leah called to tell me. She’d gotten blood work done and it came back positive. At first I was kind of surprised — but I was happy.”
And that’s not the only good news. Jeremy also proposed! On Christmas day!
“I bought an ornament for the tree that said ‘Engaged’ with both our names on it and the date,” Jeremy says. “And when I saw Leah looking at it, that’s when I gave her the ring. It’s a 1.5 princess-cut diamond.”
The Ashley’s Reality Roundup is reporting that is was a publicist for Leah who sold the story, not long after the rumors started. Her publicist “had been shopping the story to various celebrity magazines. They found a buyer in Reality Weekly,” according to The Ashley. And just as she states on her blog, if they are quoting Jeremy then this is most likely true. It’s easy to hide behind information when it comes from an anonymous “source” but you can’t attribute something to someone specific (like Jeremy Calvert) when they didn’t actually say it or you would be in a whole heap of legal trouble!
That being said, congrats to Leah and Jeremy – and to Aliannah and Aleeah who can look forward to having a younger* sibling very soon!
I don’t know if its true or not, but why wouldn’t they sell the story to a bigger, more popular magazine?

So this is what’s sticking in my craw – STD’s . Even if ur on a IUD or whatever ~ they are no protection against STD’s! In my opinion she failed not her birth control. No one in her situation should ever have sex without one. period. Saying she didn’t mean to get pregnant is obvious the first time anyway but anyone with half a brain knows that she should have been Much More Careful. I don’t care if ya don’t like how condoms feel. I feel very sorry for her sweet little twins. She completely let them down.
ITA about STD concerns. STDs bring so many serious, recurring health problems, they should rank right up there w/ concerns about unplanned pregnancy. Getting tested (and asking your partner to do so) is scary stuff, but worth it in the long run. I wish I’d had the guts to ask my first bf to do so :/

Not like this is a surprise, seeing as how she was pregnant right off the bat with Corey. Leah, you CAN have a relationship without sealing the deal with a pregnancy. We see how well that worked the first time, no?

I don’t know why more people didn’t see this coming. My friend and I were watching just last night when we were talking about the new guys she’s with and that we were both in agreement that she would be pregnant/married by June. She’s just “that” type of person.
I’ll be damned if MTV doesn’t kick her off the show though. The message will be even more twisted then it already is. And the media outlets that claim the show glamorizes pregnancy are gonna have a field day with her. I’d be interested to hear what Dr. Drew will have to say to her at the Season 3 reunion. It’s not “okay” to be 19, unwed, have 3 children, jobless, and be uneducated past a high school level. She would be getting so much shit if she was a 16 and pregnant girl who didn’t make 30k on Teen Mom. Honestly, I’d sign a petition in a heartbeat to get it written into their contracts that they can’t get pregnant again or they’re removed from the show. That is, if it’s not already in there. I wouldn’t be surprised if MTV has already called/is getting ready to call her to tell her they ripped up the contract. Getting pregnant when you’re on a show to prevent pregnancy should be a zero tolerance policy with these girls.
She has a full time job as a dental assistant… which some people DO go to school for… she had the chance to be trained. She makes $15 an hour… more than a hell of a lot of people who have kids make.
Actually on the show she told Corey that she made $8/hour…and that is if she still has that job.

MTV would be reckless keeping her on the show. I think it’s about time they scrap the whole series, it’s completely lost all credibility and is about as educational as Jersey Shore. I’m tired of hearing b.s about how they are showing the trials and tribulations of teen preganacy. GMAFB. If they can’t get their message through to the girls ON THE SHOW do they really think they’re reaching the masses at home?!?
I think Leah is even more irresponsible because as of right now does she even know what is wrong with Ali? Is it genetic? What if she has another set of twins? Harder yet both of them have special needs? I am sooo disappointed with this 19 and on your second marriage and 3rd baby? Atta girl!
I think it was irresponsible also when she doesn’t even know if she is the reason her daughter has a possible genetic disorder. She needs to keep her legs shut or get birth control. So disappointed in her since the show has portrayed her as a loving mother and wife which is far from the truth. If she cared about her children she wouldn’t be having another till she was stable.

Why kick her off the show? One girl got pregnant again, had an abortion and they made their own special about it! I think out of anyone, Leah is the one people can learn from the most. With Ali having problems, she shows everything isn’t always perfect. This may actually teach girls to think about things. Especially, girls who are already mothers. That is probably their largest fan base anyway.
Besides, currently, she IS working and DOES have the money to pay for this. So why does it matter if she has another kid or not?
I don’t think why should kick her off the show. It is going to be alot for MTV to catch up on since right now they are showing her and Corey still married. MTV has to show a divorce, co-parenting, her meeting and dating Jeremy, them moving in, her getting pregnant and engaged all in a few months. If it is true and leah has money, a job and is in a different phase of life, it might be interesting to show how she handles another baby when she is trying to work, handle 2 other kids, and college(if she attends or will attend in the future). My biggest pet peeve on this show is the lack of talking about how most of the teen moms have state medcaid and the cost of having a baby is not an issue. Leah was on medciad when she had the twins so she never got a bill. If she is working and has money as you are saying, I would like to see how she deals with real health insurnace and having a baby(that will likely cost thousands).

Very interesting how MTV chooses to ignore that 99% of teen moms inevitably enroll in government assistance-& even then, STILL struggle making ends meet. Yet, astonishingly, these girls decide having MORE kids is a fantastic idea (Leah, Amber?). Perhaps because they figure, hey, someone else will pay for them too.
Conversely, I do admire Kailyn and her initial reticence to “use the system.” She continually has shown a strong affinity for hard-work and self-sufficiency. Only Kailyn can serve as TRUE example & role model for other teen moms.
As for Leah–PLEASE stop visiting pound-town & instead, get yourself in therapy… STAT!
The only thing people can learn from her is what not to do. If it didn’t make her stop and think twice and she is the one in the situation what makes you think that anyone else will learn from her mistakes. If this is someone for people to look up to wtf is our society coming to. The only message Im getting from her is that it’s ok to have multiple baby daddy’s. It amazes me how instead of her 1st instinct being let me take care of my two girls especially cause 1 is having development problems the 1st thing she thought of doing was lay on her back and spread them. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m pretty sure I read about her knowing Jeremy long before they started dating but that might have been someone else. Also if you do the math, Jordan got pregnnat around late Jan early Feb, and her episode didn’t air until April, and they continued to allow her to be on although she didn’t say anything until way later.

I think we have every right to have our own opinions on someone who CHOOSES to be in the public eye and under public scrutiny. I am not “hating” on Leah or “talking sh*t” by saying that it wasn’t smart of her. Everyone knows that. It would be ridiculous to agree with every single thing that someone does. It doesn’t mean you’re hating on that person or judging them (something which is impossible as a human not to do, by the way), it means you have your own opinion on a fact. The facts are she’s not even 20, already has two kids, divorced, engaged again, and in another pregnancy. I also think Leah would be lying if she said this was ideal for her or what she’s always dreamed of. She realizes she’s disappointed fans, and probably her two daughters that she already has, because of what they will realize when they grow up and can understand. This was a poor decision on Leah AND Jeremy’s part. I wish her the best of luck, and Jeremy, and her new family, but this was not smart, and we don’t have to agree with it. I agree that she is a strong woman who will be able to handle the situation – that doesn’t mean it’s a good situation.
She is clearly not making an effort to take everything slow. Divorced in April, dating a new guy a few months later, moving in with him after dating only a couple months (max), and now pregnant and ready to hop into another marriage with the guy! Going from divorced to pregnant and engaged to someone else within a matter of 8-9 months is NOT by any means trying to learn from her own mistakes and take it slow.
On a related note…it’s crazy, but it IS possible to date someone without having sex with them right away. This situation is 100% preventable: something MTV (and Leah by her story) has been “trying” to tell teens throughout this entire series. What a joke.

Wow! Sometimes things happen. I think everyone needs to leave Leah alone. She may have been using protection, because they do have failure rates, no matter how well you use them. She is a great mother to her girls, and if she is pregnant again I’m sure she will be a great mother to this child as well!

Also, in response to the person who said “that’s what kids do” about getting pregnant. I’m 25, being 16, 18, or even 20 like Leah wasn’t that long ago and me and none of my friends got pregnant even though we were sexually active. Why is this kind of behaviour something people EXPECT? Newsflash, not “all kids” do this. Or are at least smart enough to not get knocked up. Maybe by the next time she’ll figure out where babies come from?

I totally agree that she certainly had the Mirena removed (if she ever had it in the first place) and likely got pregnant on purpose. She seems just the type to think that the way to keep a guy is to get pregnant. I am a parent of a special needs child and Leah has NO CLUE how difficult things will become once Ali starts school and falls behind and Leah has to deal with things like IEP’s, special ed classes, etc. Special needs children have SO many needs and once school starts, the needs multiply rapidly.
I wish girls like Leah would realize that getting pregnant does not equal love or that the guy will stick around. She had a GREAT guy in Corey. Sure, he couldn’t handle all the doctor’s appointments etc but as time goes on, you DO learn to accept your child isn’t going to be “perfect”. I am in my mid-thirties and my husband had a difficult time accepting our son’s special needs were there for life. But accept he did because there’s no choice in the end.
So sad because I really liked Leah. Now, I wonder if she didn’t get pregnant with Corey “in one month” to get back at the ex-boyfriend Robbie that she ended up cheating on him with. This pregnancy and engagement will end up being social suicide for Leah –she will lose fans and Corey will gain them. Leah, Leah, Leah. Such a huge mistake this is. And it’s sad because SO many of us can see how this all turns out. Five years from now the MTV paycheck will be gone and you’ll have 3 babies, 2 baby daddy’s and likely; won’t be with either one of them.

Honestly I try not to judge people because it’s not my place to do so, but if you are on a television show that is claiming it is supposed to be trying to prevent teen pregnancy why would risk getting pregnant again? If everything is true i wish the best for her, but I do not believe that she should continue to be on the show. That way she can actually focus on taking care of her children and providing for then like a real teen/ young mother. I know many people who had their children young and no one paid them for that. Stop making money off of bad decisions that you are making.

To be honest, who cares if she is pregnant or not. This is her life, not yours. She may be 19 but it does not matter if she is 19 or 30, if she wants 3 kids, then she is getting 3 kids. Yeah, maybe the first one was unplanned and as for the second one, she may have said it was accidental but maybe it wasn’t, and maybe she just wanted more? Who cares, it’s her life. I have a friend who is 21 and has three children but I do not find anything wrong with that because she is working full-time, has her own house, and is married. If a person wants to get engaged at 19, they have that right because she is over the age of 18 so it doesn’t matter. If a person wants to have a child past 18, that’s their decision. It does not matter if it was planned or not…accidents do happen but maybe she wanted more. I am 22 years old and do not have any kids but I feel like every one needs to stay out of her life and stop worrying about what she is doing wrong, and start worrying about your life. Move on with your lives and stop worrying about others…it’s not your child who is engaged and will be having three children, now is it?

Girls like Leah disgust and disturb me. I thought that Jenelle was bad and put Lead below her but now she’s even if not worse (in my eyes). The first time we were introduced to Lead and her story I was appalled and instantly had an issue with her. I live very close to leah, & became friends with corey after they separated. I know for a fact she is not working anymore and hasn’t since before the divorce. She didn’t cheat on corey with jeremy but did with a different guy and messed around with robbie again. She was in a relationship before jeremy too that was posted in a magazine and he was dollar to be different as well but that last a month. She was in school for nursing at UC but I seriously doubt she is now, because she was leaving her kids with someone. The mirena is.99.9% effective but she did not have it when she conceived and thats why this is still a healthy pregnancy. She, along with all the others, has let this tv show go straight to their head. Why should someone that got pregnant by a guy days after they started dating, have “fans”. Or make over 60k a season. Its ridiculous. Shes ridiculous & needs a quick reality check, especially being a 20 year old with 3 kids.

Its a known fact that many teens that get pregnant get pregnant again within 2 years. Dr. Drew even pointed this out to the girls. I think it’s important that MTV airs that fact so we all know that it happens, why it happens, and what we can do to prevent it. I like Leah, but even if it was Amber, who I do not like, I would want to see how she struggles so we can understand why it isn’t a good idea to trust one form of birth control. I have heard TONS and TONS of stories of Mirena not working (I know two girls personally who had it and it didn’t work)… maybe this is something the public needs to know. Leah tried to be responsible, I think we should give her that credit and ask again, “What have you learned? What can you share with younger teen moms?” Isn’t that what the show is really about?

You cant help from getting prego. but sometimes it happens even if you dont plain it. i was on birthcontrol when i had my first. she now is seven. my other is three. and my youngest is two. i dont know people have to get in everyone face and put them down. that is just like my family. i have been married for three yrs now and that is this family does make something better than what it is. but no one bizz but mine. i live in a trailer dont work. but we still pay our bills i have a car my husband has a truck and a bike. insurnace on all three. i am not conplaning or nothing but the world would be alot better place if everyone would just mind their own. i am 28 i have lost my mom my dad my brother my grandma all within 5 years. and i am still going strong. i have alot to live for now. it is called my kids. so if leah loves him then it really is a wonderful thing. but at the same time i feel very sorry for goodlooking corey. i am one that wants people to get all the want out of life. and if i have made someone mad in the i am sorry but i liked the show and they was the best ones on there. well i have kids to take care of take it easy everyone!!! and rememeber peace is the best way to go in life….
Not sure if it was a ploy for money or if something horrible happened, but Leah isnt pregnant. I saw her in Huntington, WV last week and she weighs about 100 lbs. If she got preggo in Dec, she would have to be showing at leasr a little by now and she is smaller now than she has ever looked on the show…
