Florida man George Zimmerman is going to auction off the pistol he used to shoot and kill unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin.
As reported by WFL, Zimmerman said the weapon was recently returned to him by the Department of Justice. The former neighborhood-watch volunteer added, “I’m a free American. I can do what I want with my possessions.”
The Kel-Tec PF-9 9-mm is currently listed on a firearms-auction site. The seller describes the gun as “an American Firearm Icon” while verifying it was the one used to kill Martin on the evening of Feb. 26, 2012.
In addition, its promised that part of the proceeds will go to combat “BLM (Black Lives Matter) violence against Law Enforcement Officers and also to combat Hillary Clinton’s “anti-firearm rhetoric.”
