Will Ferrell and his very pregnant wife Viveca Paulin helped Conan O’Brien leave The Tonight Show in ironic style with their rousing performance of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Freebird,” and very soon after that Vivica went into labor. “Freebird” is a powerful thing. The kid either felt inspired to “free” himself from his mother’s womb, or he wanted to be free to flee to a place were he didn’t have to listen to “Freebird.” He’s too young still to understand the comedic genius of what transpired. Will and Viveca performed “Freebird” Friday night, and their third son Axel was in this world by Saturday morning (January 23, 2010). He joins Magnus (6) and Mattius (4). Viveca is a Swedish actress who met Ferrell in 1995 at an acting class and married him in 2000. The Conan gig wasn’t the first time the couple performed together, she had a bit part in 1998’s Night at the Roxbury.
