VIDEO Michelle Duggar explains how overpopulation is a lie
When you’re down at Starbucks waiting in line and are thinking to yourself, “There’s just too many people in the world,” Michelle Duggar has now presented a counter argument to assuage your overpopulation fears.
Duggar was chatting up her life and chirrens to the Christian Broadcasting Network in a web interview. A follower posed the question of what effect Michelle’s huge family may have on the environment and in a larger sense her thoughts on the concept of global overpopulation. Whether you agree with them or not, she always has an interesting perspective and her take on this issue was no different.
Here’s the clip. Warning, if you just so happen to live in Jacksonville, FL this footage may scare the crap out of you:
“The idea of overpopulation is not accurate because really the entire population of the world, if they were to stand shoulder to shoulder, could fit in the city limits of Jacksonville. Duggar added, “Too many kids? I agree with Mother Teresa when she said, ‘to say that there are too many children is like saying there are too many flowers,'”
Random interesting fact; Jacksonville, FL is the largest city in the contiguous United States land area wise. It consolidated Duval County back in 1968. The estimated total size is around 885 square miles.
In school I remember seeing the following video of global population growth. It’s a timeline that demonstrates population growth since 1AD. It builds slowly placing a dot on the globe for each center with one million people and at the end it explodes, which still terrifies me. I would start at the 1:40 mark…
Hey, if the Duggars keep it up they’ll get to say one of them there little dots is theirs all alone!
