Something had been building in my TV subconscious for years and finally bubbled over the other day while I was on the computer. In the background I heard Jenna Fischer of NBC’s The Office fame pitching for the acne solution Proactiv. I was a little surprised that she was acting as a spokesperson for the topical treatment that has seemingly been airing lengthy celebrity testimonial infomercials my entire life.
My brain Rolodex started thinking back about the girls I remembered from these spots and a trend started to reveal itself. Proactiv has really lined up some serious babes over the years! After doing a little research I realized I was right in my recollection as sweet tart after sweet tart kept popping up as clean skinned pitchers for the product. The angle is that these gals were Proactiv users anyway and just want to share how wonderful it is. But I’m going to bet that the millions of dollars they cashed in to shill for the solution didn’t hurt either.
