Teresa Giudice: I don’t like Skinnygirl

Teresa Giudice Fabelini

Teresa Giudice has never been one to hold back and when it comes to her former Real Housewives counterpart, Bethenny Frankel, it’s no different. In an upcoming episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa has some not-so-nice words about Bethenny’s super successful Skinnygirl Brand. You know, the one Bethenny sold for a reported $120 million.

On Sunday’s new episode, Teresa travels to a vineyard to taste test some different flavors for her new line, Fabellini. With her husband Joe by her side, Teresa talks about what she’d like her upcoming creation to taste like. “My thing is I don’t like anything that tastes diet-y,” she explains. “For instance, Skinnygirl tastes diet-y. I don’t like that.”

Skinnygirl, as you have surely heard, was started by Bethenny in 2009 and just 2 years later was purchased by Beam Global for $120 million (allegedly).

Teresa didn’t stop at the episode dig either. She took aim at Bethenny once again this February when she launched the drink. In an announcement on her official website, Teresa wrote, “I’m so so so proud of it. And it tastes delicious! And Fabellini is low calorie–less than 1/2 the calories of other ‘skinny’ drinks.”

Although Teresa isn’t a fan of Skinnygirl, she seems to be inspired by Bethenny and all of her success. A friend of Teresa’s tells Us Weekly, “Teresa will work as hard as she can till she gets to Bethenny status.” Teresa isn’t the only ‘Wives star aiming high. Sonja Morgan also strives for Bethenny sized success. Another source added, “She learned a lot from Donald Trump about bringing her brand out even more.”

There’s no word as to why Teresa attacked Bethenny’s drink, but hey, it’s not like she’s in the business of making friends these days.

You can get your own bottle of Teresa’s Fabellini now starting at just $17.99. Drink up and tune in to Real Housewives of New Jersey this Sunday on Bravo at 10/9c.
