In a couple of random “Miley Cyrus walking to her car after dance class” paparazzi photos the young star could be seen sporting a hard-core Willie Nelson Texas t-shirt. The young starlet has been experiencing some very public growing pains as she transforms into an adult before our eyes and donning some Willie wear may be one small way to help Miley cope. A look back: Willie Nelson’s ‘Spirit’ 15 years later

So what if I told you that musical legend Willie Nelson released arguably his best album in 1996 to little fanfare or critical acclaim? And what if I told you that if this hidden gem were to be classified as a “country” album that it would be the very best release under that genre in the last 20 years? You would probably think, like that character in Willie’s classic song, that I’m crazy right? Well I may be crazy but this is exactly my opinion of Nelson’s masterpiece Spirit.

Snoop Dogg tells Texas to back the F off Willie Nelson

I have certain very personal feelings about the fact that Willie Nelson was arrested in Texas for possession of 6oz of marijuana. Well at The Players Ball 2010 Snoop Dogg was able to communicate exactly how I felt about the situation and his feelings in regards to our elder and the respect he’s earned.

Sheriff who arrested Willie Nelson suggests citizens arm themselves with guns in drug war

As the entire internet has reported Willie Nelson has been arrested in Hudspeth County, Texas for marijuana possession. After a little research I found an interesting Fox News video that does not bode well for the Red Headed Stranger. The County Sheriff, Arvin West, wears an eleven-gallon-hat and openly encourages his citizens to arm themselves in the war on drugs! See Arvin’s message that lets us all know that west Texas is still the wild west and is certainly no country for old men (like Willie).

It seems like only last week Larry King was bouncing around in Snoop Dogg’s lemon yellow “sunshiningly-pimped-up” 1967 Pontiac Parisienne. But it wasn’t enough to have the second most adored pot smoker on the planet on his show, Larry King had to go out and get the top dogg himself, Willie Nelson! Watch Willie admitting he toked up just before going on the show as well as a duet with Larry on “Blue Skies.”

I recently outed myself as a big Willie Nelson fan in a post featuring concert photos of Willie from Arena Theater in Houston, Texas January 8, 2010. Well, that got me all excited to see the Red Headed Stranger again, so I road tripped to Macon, Georgia for his show at the Macon City Auditorium January 24, 2010. VIDEOS PHOTO Lil’ Wayne arrested in Texas with a lil’ weed

The US Border Patrol found small traces of marijuana on a couple of rapper Lil’ Wayne’s tour buses (cannibuses?) near the Texas town of Falfurrias and the hip hop (hemp hop?) star is currently being detained, as are 11 others in his posse.

Details are sketchy at this point, but according to TMZ Lil’ Wayne’s entourage were part of a random search by Border Patrol agents that resulted in pot being found on two of the vehicles. It seems pot was not found on any of the persons, and contrary to the misleading headline of this post, no arrests have been made.
