Ellen DeGeneres has once again made sure that good things happen to good people. On the October 18 episode of Ellen, everybody’s favorite (well, millions of people’s favorite, anyway) talk show host gave 22-year-old Ruby Tuesday server and single mom Sarah Hoidahl a huge surprise in reward for her viral gesture of paying for two furloughed soldiers’ lunches and leaving them a hand-written letter of appreciation.

Celebs react as California’s Proposition 8 is overturned

San Francisco – Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker overturned the voter-approved same-sex marriage ban known as Proposition 8 Wednesday, declaring that limiting marriage to a man and a woman serves no legitimate purpose and is an “artifact” rooted in “unfounded stereotypes and prejudices.”

Celebs came out in force via their Twitter accounts to show support. See some samples of these tweets including Lady GaGa, Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian. Also read statements of approval from Ellen DeGeneres as well as conservative Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
