Two women in India keep in shape with an exercise in futility. Only a small umbrella stands between them and the surging high tide along Mumbai’s seafront as a crashing wave appears to be just a split second away from claiming victory and dampening more than just their spirits.
I believe fishermen refer to this as a “dumbrella.”
On a side note, is anyone else out there reminded of the famous woodblock from around 1832 titled “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” by Japanese artist Hokusai?
Those creepy, finger-like things always scare the buhjeezuz out of me! Always makes me feel kinda like those women with the umbrella!
