New pictures of Nigerian terror suspect Umar Abdulmutallab’s charred underwear – PHOTOS

ABC has released pictures of Nigerian terror suspect Umar Abdulmutallab’s charred underwear from where he stashed the explosives he brought on a Detroit-bond Delta plane (United Airlines Flight 253) on Christmas day.

Adbulmutallab sewed the device into his underwear to sneak it onto the plane. It contained pentaerythritol tetranitrate, an explosive also known as PETN, and could have potentially blown a hole in the plane, but it failed to do so.
