It’s been a year since Fast & Furious star Paul Walker lost his life at the age of 40 in a tragic car accident on November 30, 2013 in Santa Clarita, California. Fans, friends and family have been paying tribute to Walker on the anniversary of his passing including co-star Vin Diesel, his father Paul Walker III and daughter Meadow Walker.
Walker’s daughter Meadow posted a beautifully candid pic to Instagram of her father beaming and waving as he held her as an infant in his lap. She captioned the touching tribute simply – “I love you.”
Walker’s dad, Paul Walker III, shared memories of his son with E! News:
“There was always a lot of laughing in this house. A lot of practical jokes… He didn’t like the limelight, Paul said one time, ‘I really don’t like this business, but I can do a lot of good with the money I make…’ Paul just radiated love and you can’t fake that. Paul had a really good heart. I thought, ‘How did I deserve such a wonderful son?'”
Walker’s Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel also shared thoughts about his friend via his official Facebook page while posting a pic of the late actor embracing his own daughter, Hania Riley:
He was a part of so much in my life… long personal talks with my mother or babysitting the Alpha Angel… he took a certain pride in being uncle Pablo… after all, we were filming a scene in FF4 the day she was born, and he being the only one I told, encouraged me to go in and cut the umbilical cord.
He was an important part of my transition into fatherhood… that healthy family member, with the most positive outlook on life…
A year ago today… a year of mourning… and his absence still leaves me speechless. We miss you Pablo…
