The worlds of Hannah Montana and Honey Boo Boo collided this morning as Miley Cyrus and Mama June Shannon were photographed together during their appearances for GMA.
Mama June shared the above beautimous photo with Miley stating, “Me and Miley Cyrus she was so nice…” June was on hand promoting the upcoming second season of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo as well as a new book from the Thompson family called, “How To Honey Boo Boo.”
During an interview, June gave a preview of some of the things that fans can expect this time around. She talked about her ceremony with love Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson that already has many camo-inspired images circulating around.
“I will tell you it was unconventional. As you can see, I did not go with the white dress. You have to watch to see if it was a wedding or a commitment ceremony. We’re really looking forward to that.”
She said that the book (see the cover art and get a copy here) was done out of demand from all the show’s fans.
“The fans have been asking a long time for a book, so we just decided we’d be able to do a book on what we do on a regular basis. Alana actually came up with the catch phrase, ‘Performed by a Redneck: Unless you’re a redneck, don’t try this at home.'”
One of the fans just so happens to be Miley, and she shared the following fun image via Twitter.
When asked why Alana wasn’t on hand in New York, June explained that the star of the show needed a break and some time at home.
“That’s the big reason why Alana’s not here today. We’ve been meeting a lot of fans on the road for the last 12 days. She [Alana] really loves New York, and she’s jealous because we’re staying in Times Square. But I want her to stay at home and enjoy being around kids and relax. I don’t want to wear her out. I want my kids to be kids. I don’t want them to be a robot and just perform when they’re needed to be performed, because we’re real. We are who we are. What you see is what you get.”
