Looks like their PacSun days are over: Kendall and Kylie Jenner are set to launch their own fashion line with a star-studded gala this summer. Yesterday, the duo announced they’d left the retail grind behind and linked up with fashion house Topshop. Kendall and Kylie also launched their linked “Kendall + Kylie” Instagram and Twitter accounts, in order to better publicize the venture. So far, the Instagram account is the clear winner, with 196,000 followers to the Twitter account’s 557.
As for what we can expect from Kendall and Kylie? Colors, pants, and dreams, if their earliest shared images are any indication:
It’s an interesting move for Kendall and Kylie Jenner, as Topshop is a primarily British company–of its 500 outlets, 300 are in the UK. But it also carries an air of exclusivity, which is something both girls have long claimed to want. In short, the move helps further establish the Kendall and Kylie Jenner brand as something to aspire to, because it’s just out of reach.
As for the long-simmering Kylie + Kendall feud? It would appear that that’s all behind the Jenner girls–for now, at least. Though Kendall’s name comes first on the brand, Kylie has an equal partnership in the venture; if it means that Kendall is still the bigger celebrity, and that “Kendall and Kylie Jenner” aren’t equally bright stars, expect the feud to flare right back up.
