Prince Harry has been in California for an intense two-month military training program in which the 27-year old is learning to fly a U.S. Apache attack helicopter. But, it seems even Top Gun helicopter pilots get a break every now and then because Prince Harry was photographed partying with friends at the Ivy bar on the rooftop of the five star Andaz hotel in San Diego on Friday, October 7. In one of the photos that surfaced on RumorFix.com last week, the Prince can be see looking as though he is getting quite intimate with a brunette Ivy employee!
Needless to say, the photo caused quite the commotion as people tried to figure out who this mystery girl was and whether or not anything happened. It wasn’t long before both questions were answered. The mystery girl is 26-year-old Jessica Donaldosn, (The lovely brunette in the photos in this post) who is a bottle girl at the club.
And as far as whether or not anything happened between the two, the answer to that question, according to Jes (as she is called by her friends), is a very emphatic, “no.”
Jes Donaldson spoke to The Daily Mail and during an emotional interview stated:
I am speaking out now because I want people to know the truth. I am not sleeping with Prince Harry and he has never been anything other than a total gentleman to me. I am very upset that all this has blown up. He is just a regular guy who enjoys a few beers with his buddies. He’s really cool and down-to-earth and that’s what I liked about him. I’m flattered he showed me attention but there is nothing more to it than that.
When asked about the RumorFix photos, Jes began to cry and had to leave the room. She later regained her composure with the help of her “burly” boyfriend and revealed, “This is so hard and difficult. I didn’t want any of this.”
She went on to talk about the night in question in detail:
His people called ahead and said there was a VIP person coming with about 20 friends and could we secure an area of the club for him.
I had no idea the VIP was Prince Harry until he walked in. We are used to seeing celebrities here like local sports stars and Johnny Knoxville [star of MTV’s Jackass] but when Harry walked in, it was, “Wow!”
And in case you are wondering what a “bottle girl” is, she explained that as well.
You buy a table and for that you get a bottle of vodka, some mixers and soft drinks. You also get to stand in the VIP area. Our job is to bring in rich guys who want to meet hot girls. The more bottles you sell, the more you earn on commission.
Harry was with a big group, mostly guys. There were quite a few security men with him. I waited on his table and he was charming and chatty but he was charming to all the girls.
He paid for two of the bottles and his friend paid for a third. Harry started off drinking Stella but went on to vodka.
According to The Daily Mail, you can get a bottle of Belvedere and Absolut vodka with mixers for £350 (just over $550).
I realize it’s hard to judge a book by its cover, but looking at lots of photos of Jes she does appear to be a really nice (albeit damn sexy) girl – which is probably a big part of why she is able to hold down such a coveted job and sell $550 bottles of booze! (A lot of people are comparing her to Kate Middleton, but I’m getting more of a Mary-Louise Parker vibe. Neither of those are a bad thing, mind you!)
It seems the initial nastiness has already blown over as everyone starts to realize nothing actually happened between the two, so Jes, if you’re reading this, take a deep breath and then just enjoy the exposure! You’re a beautiful young woman in a relationship with a burly dude and you’re making a ton of money at a high end club in San Diego. That’s a whole lot of bright side to be looking at!
