PHOTO Catherine Zeta-Jones wows on Red 2 red carpet
Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones was looking fandamntabulous on the red carpet at the Red 2 Premiere in Los Angeles Thursday night! The 43-year-old wife of Michael Douglas struck a powerful (and curvaceous) pose in front of the red and white backdrop wearing a form-fitting, full-length strapless black lace gown.
The appearance comes just a couple months after Catherine completed a 30-day stint in a clinic to help deal with her bipolar II disorder. The stay came after a stressful year that included dealing with her husband’s throat cancer diagnosis and the resulting chemotherapy treatments.
It’s so wonderful to see Catherine back and looking great! As far as her role in Red 2, Catherine has some seductively sinister fun playing former Russian secret agent Miranda Wood — an old fame of Frank Moses (played by Bruce Willis). “They call her Frank’s kryptonite,” Catherine told Film Journal International. “I think that kind of sums it up, really. When she arrives, you know there’s going to be trouble.”
And speaking of trouble, Catherine’s biggest trouble with playing Miranda Wood? Having to learn Russian. “The hardest thing for me in the whole movie was when I had to speak Russian. I learn it, then I go to sleep, and when I wake up the next morning it is like my brain has gone blank. So there are lots of outtakes of me swearing.”
Here’s a little glimpse of Catherine working her Russian magic on Bruce in a Red 2 preview trailer:
