No maybe: Carly Rae Jepsen had nude photos stolen from computer

We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again; If you are a celeb – or anyone for that matter, you best keep any naked photos of yourself somewhere seriously secure! It’s probably in your best interest not to have any nude pics of yourself at all in any kind of electronic format. Sadly, it looks like Carly Rae Jepsen is learning this the hard way as she’s the latest victim of a hacker-attack.

Authorities have confirmed that the 26-year-old “Call Me Maybe” singer has had naked photos stolen from her computer. The Jepsen camp received a tip about the situation back in March as someone was shopping the images to various media outlets. They immediately contacted the Vancouver Police Department to report the crime.

Fake nude images of Carly Rae circulated a while back but make no mistake, the ones we’re talking about now are very real. The images have not surfaced, which is pretty amazing with this type of situation, and Jepsen, who keeps up a pretty wholesome image, wants to keep it that way.

Carly Rae even had to address a sex tape rumor just 2 days ago via her Twitter when one circulated featuring someone who kind of looked liker her. “Crazy morning. Discovered that someone put up a sex tape claiming to be me. Ridiculous. Obviously not me.” Sad.

A rep with the Vancouver Police Department informed TMZ that an investigation is underway, “in regards to a theft of electronic property belonging to Jepsen.” Their sources also said that there may already be a suspect for the cyber crime.

This news comes right after Jepsen dropped her latest music video for “Good Time” featuring Owl City.
