According to PopEater, Nicolas Cage’s spokeperson Annett Wolf has confirmed that the actor’s father, August Coppolla has passed away after suffering a heart attack. He was 75-year-old.
August Coppolla was a literature professor and dean of the School of Creative Arts at San Fransisco State University, and later retired to Savannah, Georgia to leisurely write. He was the brother of legendary filmmaker Frances Ford Coppola.
