MUG SHOT Sopranos star Joseph Gannascoli arrested for DUI

Joseph Gannascoli, most famous for his role as Vito Spatafore on HBO’s The Sopranos, was arrested early this morning in Tampa, Florida for driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to WTSP Gannascoli, 51, was pulled over at 2:42 am after an officer witnessed him make a wide turn before drifting into his lane and driving on the lane marker. From WTSP:

When the officer pulled him over he says he could smell alcohol on Gannascoli’s breath. Police say his eyes were bloodshot and watery and his speech was slurred. He did a field sobriety test. The officer says Gannascoli showed numerous clues of impairment and was placed under arrest for DUI.

Gannascoli was booked before blowing a .111 on a Breathalyzer, well above the Florida legal limit of .08.

The actor was released this morning at 9:37 am on a $500 surety bond. Here is raw video footage of him leaving the jail:

According to his web site, JosephGannascoli.com, Gannascoli had an in-store appearance scheduled last night from 4-9 at Soho cigars in Tampa, Florida. According to his site, Joseph is quite the entrepreneur! In addition to acting and selling cigars, he’s got a line of pasta sauces, golfing equipment and he’s even authored a book titled A Meal To Die For: A Culinary Novel Of Crime.
