Mob Wives’ Drita D’Avanzo avoids prosecution for assaulting neighbor Mary Bratti
Mob Wives star Drita D’Avanzo made headlines last month when a video surfaced of her attacking her neighbor, Mary Bratti, as part of an ongoing dispute over a parking space. Mary’s daughter recorded the video, which began with a heated argument between Mary and Drita’s husband, Lee D’Avanzo, and Mary was quick to talk trash on social media and pass the clip along to TMZ.
But, it seems Mary had a change of heart, as she reportedly refused to cooperate with the District Attorney in the case. As a result, the charges have been dropped.
“After speaking with the complainant, who indicated she did not wish to cooperate, and based upon our evaluation of the evidence, our office determined it cannot prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt and has subsequently declined to prosecute the matter,” said the director of communications for the Richmond County district attorney. “Ms. D’Avanzo has been notified that she is not required to come to court.”
The usually very outspoken Mary has been rather quiet on social media about the charges being dropped. She did take to Instagram after the story broke to share a text graphic with these words:
Someone who hates you normally hates you for one of three reasons:
1. They either see you as a threat.
2. They hate themselves.
Or
3. They want to be you.
It’s been rumored that Drita might be getting her own spin-off series, so I wonder if perhaps Mary decided to not cooperate with police because she will be a part of that show? That’s purely speculation on my part, but it would make sense. Either way, congrats to The Teflon Drita!
