NBC is taking the dating reality show genre and pumping it full of Survivor like adrenaline in the form of Love in the Wild. 10 men and 10 women are dropped into the jungles of Costa Rica and from there it’s up to them who they pair up with in hopes of winning and finding love along the way. The show will feature what it calls Romancing the Stone like adventures and challenges as well as an exclusive jungle get away that will allow for some love to bloom.
One of the cast members for the show is the beautiful brunette you see above Samantha Woods from Huntington Beach, California. Lets get to know Samantha a little better which, from what I’m seeing, should be pleasant enough!
Woods is 23-years-old and best I can tell is currently employed as a wedding planner at Orange County’s Exquisite Event Planning & Design ran by Carrie Goff. Via the site’s official page it states that Samantha is a Coordinator Manager / Hostess. If she wins it could be all JLo where the lovely brunette wedding planner lands the man in the end!
In the brief bit of info put out by NBC so far they describe our girl as smart, sweet and put together. They hint that the 10 dudes droppin’ into the jungle with her should be all about it and that us viewers at home probably will be to. Via a MySpace page Samantha stated that:
Hi, my name is Samantha and I just graduated from Chapman University. Now I am a wedding planner and I couldn’t be happier <3
Her alma mater Chapman is a private University in Orange, California. It’s renowned for its Holocaust education programs and is one of the fastest growing private Universities in California. As of the 2010-2011 academic year Chapman had an enrollment of over 6,000 students. Random info but now you know 🙂
Samantha’s interests listed via her MySpace page were varied and numerous. Woods loves her some of the following: Anchors, Audrey Hepburn, American Idol, the beach, brunettes, bowling, baseball, my besties, bubble baths, Britney Spears, cards, my car, cheese, the Chargers, Cinderella, Coors Light, crime shows, Dodgers, doggies, dressing up, dive bars, Diet Coke, double negatives, exercise, ESPN, football, family, gardenias, girls nights, Greek life, holidays, House, Jon and Kate Plus 8, overcast weather, playing pool, quirkiness, rain, reading, Sweet Dreams, Victoria Secret, wine, and of course weddings.

Love in the Wild is set to premiere on Wednesday, June 1st on NBC. I look forward to seeing Samantha there, and who knows maybe there will be a man who looks a lot like Philip Rivers waiting for her. A girl can dream right?
