DWTS and Extra star Maria Menounos made some very serious claims during her recent appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show. The frequent Stern visitor stated that she has been sexually abused by a number of physicians during examinations.
The first time this happened according to Maria was when she went to see a doctor about a sore throat. She was asked to change into a hospital gown and the doctor started touching her genitals.
“I was really young, so I was so uncomfortable. My boyfriend Kevin Undergaro was in the waiting room and I literally started screaming … I was just so uncomfortable I didn’t know what to do.”
The 34-year-old TV personality who has always exuded a personal confidence added that Kevin encouraged her to press charges at the time but she told Stern that she didn’t want to make the situation worse. This account is already shocking enough but Maria went on to inform Stern that there were additional occasions in which a trip to the doctor left her feeling violated.
During a visit to her gynecologist she said that the male doctor complimented her belly button piercing and proceeded to fondle it. She made no mention of the names of the physicians in question. She’s also a frequent tweeter but has made no comments via the popular social network about these accusations since her appearance yesterday.
Menounos now understandably has a phobia of doctors and always has her boyfriend in the room with her during any type of examination, especially a gynecological one.
