Is it just me, or is this sex tape stuff getting out of hand?
The latest reality TV folks to do the dirty deed for the cameras is Mimi Faust and Nikko Smith from Love & Hip Hop.
TMZ is being used as the promotional outlet for this latest romp as they spoke with, you guessed it, Vivid CEO Steve Hirsch about the Faust jousting. Hirsch said that he got hold of the tape, contacted the couple and they signed off on a deal to let it go public.
What kind of makes this one interesting is that there’s no beating around the bush (no pun intended) about the tape as Hirsch added that the producers of LHH signed off on the idea. There’s no one claiming it was leaked or trying to make it seem like some sort of accidental situation.
In other words, the network is kinda hoping that the attention will help boost ratings for the show. So, in a way, it’s kind of like a commercial – a really naughty commercial mind you…
TMZ saw clips from the vid and are verifying it is what it purports to be – Mimi and Nikko love and hips-hopping each other. It’s scheduled for a release later this month.
I hope that part of the plot (a stretch I know) somehow involves a recreation of Mimi’s mug shot – which is one of my personal top ten celebrity booking photos.
