Lisa Bonet posts cryptic Tweet about Bill Cosby and karma
Things keep getting worse–and stranger–for beleaguered comedian Bill Cosby.
Cosby has been a major story for nearly a month, ever since serious allegations of rape began to be brought against him by a series of women. Per the New York Times, at least fifteen different women have now come forward to accuse Cosby of sexual assault, or to repeat previous allegations.
Now, members of Cosby’s fictional family appear to be turning against him, as well.
Lisa Bonet, who played Denise on The Cosby Show from 1984 to 1987 (and briefly in 1991), shared a rather cryptic Cosby-related Tweet yesterday. Here’s a screencap of the message:
Why a screencap? Because Bonet’s account–@Lilakoi_Moon–was suspended shortly after she sent out the above Tweet.
Of course, there’s now been a mini-firestorm of speculation that Cosby molested or raped Bonet during her time on the show, and that the Twitter message was her way of announcing the fact. So far, there is zero evidence to support such a claim.
And, when a similar fire-wave of tidal speculation washed over Cosby co-star Raven Symone earlier this week, Olivia took to Instagram to shoot them down:
Symone offered a strong rebuttal, but Cosby himself remains silent. He’s begun a stand-up tour back in the US; audiences in Florida greeted him with a standing ovation earlier this week.
